Plans are set in motion and a it looks like a green light to build a development of nearly 60 homes in Guildford is to be approved.

Bellway has allocated the plot east of White Lane and west of Chestnut Lodge in Ash Green to the project.

This greenbelt land was previously used for agricultural purposes along with paddocks for local horses.

An application to be submitted to the planning committee of the Guildford Borough Council on 22 May 2019. This was proposing the construction of 59 dwellings, 24 of which will be affordable, with a recommendation for approval.

Subject to approval, planning officers recommended that a section 106 agreement be concluded to ensure affordable allocation of housing as well as contributions to road safety, education and health care.
